No words can describe how I feel about this last instalment. But I'll try nonetheless hehe.
It was already hard to swallow what was shown in The True Face and My fragile god, fading fast. Seeing Mizi's perpective of her relationship with Sua, it was clear that she was only applying what was taught to her by SHINE, that's where the need to "crush someone" stemmed from and how their relationship came to be.
This is why in Karma, Mizi confesses "Maybe I wasn't as desperate for her" and "I know my love was different from yours. But it was love, too." But that's clearly not the case. She knew that if she were to die, Sua wouldn't be able to live, but the way she grieved and still grieves for her shows that she was just as devoted to this relationship. But the guilt she feels doesn't let her see that.
And I really have to applaud the Till nation, 8 months of wait and still gripping onto hope that he was alive, and now he's here. I only lasted what... 2-3 months? hehehe
Though he's confirmed to be mute in The Witch's Decision, which is really heartbreaking because of how passionate he was about singing, ever since he was little.
Needless to say, the song is so good. The soft ballad sometimes contrasting with such heavy and fascinating parts, like the heart imagery representing each dynamic (my favorite) and the bathtub scene.
It's unconfirmed but this feels like a goodbye, a very bittersweet one. Alien Stage was nothing what I expected when I started watching it in 2022 but everything that I needed. Vivivnos, Qmeng and everyone envolved managed to create such amazing and nuanced characters that I developed a great attachment to. I loved every second of it, even though it made me suffer a lot too. :)
