its become a full time job just to apply to jobs. its gotten
exponentially worse even since i joined the workforce at 16. i applied
for that first job via indeed and 4 years later that is still the ONLY
successful job i got with indeed.
the ONLY thing im somehow able
to do right now is freelance work. it doesn't pay very well but after
sending out multiple applications daily for 1.5yrs now i literally cant
get anything else. im doing a degree! i have 4yrs of work experience!! i
do extracurriculars, projects, write articles and all that other crap!
only to have my resume be sifted through some automated checker.
i'm
literally applying to the tech field too; an industry that, throughout my upbringing, was described as nothing but prosperous. i have a feeling
that the majority of applications i have put out haven't even been
read by a person.
it is beyond dystopian what the job market has become, and older generations have the audacity to call us lazy. i have to work throughout nights and weekends because im not left with any other choice. can anyone else relate? will it ever get better or will it just get worse from here?
