aight so, havent done a story time blog ever since i dropped the troll posts (iykyk) and i SWORE to myself i would never EVER share stories regarding my private life on the internet but what happened was a series of unfortunate events that i just have to tell everyone. so, strap in, get comfy, grab some tea, coffee, juice or whatever cuz this is gonna be a LOOOOOOOONGG story...
so, this friday was the final day of my exam period in art school. nothing too serious, just present our art pieces at the art workshop to our teacher, provide us with feedback and then leave. simple as that. thing is, even a concept as simple as that was MORE THAN ENOUGH TO BE FUCKED UP BY NATURAL CIRCUMSTANCES!!
first off, we were supposed to present our work on thursday, but our teacher had to postpone it to friday due to an urgent situation. so, 9 o clock in the morning me and some other folks from my workshop hop on the bus and head our way there. here's the thing about my workshop tho: it's not IN the town i study at, no no, its actually located in a separate area of the town, at a small village, which is like twenty minutes away from the town via vehicle.
we arrive at 9:30~, i put my canvas on the side and wait for the teacher to show up... only to find out he would be there at 11 due to a flight of his being delayed... i mean, hey, its aight! its just 1 and a half hour more waiting inside a workshop with no AC and being like 30 degrees celcius outside! awesome! hurray! not to put the blame on my teacher or anything cuz he obviously couldn't have predicted it either but GOD was the wait painful!
to make matters even worse, around 10:50 he messaged us telling us we had to wait ANOTHER 30 MINUTES bcuz the woman that was driving him there (also a student) got into a traffic accident!! luckily, everyone was fine, no injuries whatsoever. what did piss me off a bit tho was that when i was at the bathroom to change shirts, cuz i sweat a lot and part of my t shirt turned into a darker hue, i got a notification from our teacher texting us that apparently the presentations finally began???!! i exit immediately, only to find no sight of him anywhere near. i opened the message, confused, only to find out that it was simply a sarcastic comment he left along with some pictures of the woman's art pieces, ya know, the one who drove him there, being presented at him outside the street, all laid down on the hot asphalt... all i can do is wish that woman good luck on her results.
needless to say my friend hadn't arrived yet so all i could do was find a corner to sit and stare at my phone all the time... she did arrive eventually, 10 minutes before the teacher made his grant entrance as well! that's right, he finally arrived at 12:10, at the time THE PRESENTATIONS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE OVER!!!
a few students were allowed to present first as some had to catch their flights or buses to go home at the same day of the presentation. which wasnt a simple task cuz in a workshop with like 40 ppl wanting to present, some which had been waiting since 9 in the morning mind you!!! finally, after like 3 hours, i was up. i was the very last one to present, no one else in sight, just my teacher and me. honestly, i didnt mind, the fact that i got to actually show my art pieces for once was relieving and actually quite cathartic. and hey, he did love them especially the one i did on canvas since it was inspired by the works of paul klee, one of his fav artists of all time (dont ya dare accuse me of being a teacher's pet, i had no idea this was his fav ;P)!!
sadly, the good part didnt last for long. so, while the rest of the students were presenting, an old graduate stopped by and volunteered in helping some of us drive back town. a LITERAL DIVINE INTERVENTION finally stepped in to save a few of us.. BUUUUUTTTTT... once i was done with my presentation, she left. just like that. she asked who of us have no means of transportation to return to town, me and two others raised our hand, i made eye contact with her, i thanked her.. basically she did acknowledge i was included too but she drove off..
i was SO worried after that, i was in the middle of nowhere under some killing heat with no possible means of returning home! i could take the bus, but here's the thing: there is only ONE bus that stops by the workshop, the one at 13:30 which i had already missed long ago. and do you know where the nearest bus station is located? FIFTEEN MINUTES AWAY FROM THE ART WORKSHOP. FIFTEEN MINUTES OF WALKING UNDER A GREAT HEAT OF 30 DEGREES CELCIUS!! this was the worst case scenario and started thinking abt anything, ANYTHING to prevent it from happening. i couldnt call a cab either cuz my battery was at the verge of its death, like 1% and didnt wanna risk using it and dying mid-call. this was on me, i admit it. plus, my teacher didnt have a car of his own so him dropping me there by himself was out of the question too... i could have asked him to lend me his phone to call a cab but he was already preoccupied with someone else on the phone...
luckily, the graduate DID come back and my worries were gone! but she and the teacher did fill the back with boxes and canvases meaning i had to squeeze myself inside (she even told me off for not taking the responsibility to tell her to wait for me like GUUURLLL bfr)..
anyhow, despite all that i did eventually get back in town, they dropped me off at the town square at around 15:45. SIX. HOURS. but hey, at least the teacher did tell me i would get a perfect 10 score! not that i was surprised or anything cuz he did say himself on the very first lesson that he didnt care abt grades that much and it wasnt like i was anxious about the results on his lesson lmao he ain't strict at all.
i get a burger for my lunch and mainly as a treat also for all i went through, AND gave myself a relaxing cold shower. all in all. this experience was a constant collection of "WE ARE SO BACKs" and "ITS SO OVERs" but in the end all's well that ends well ig :P

SIX HOURS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!!
