-Current Murmurings-

Greetings Midnight Misfits:

Concerning the lack of rather dashing features, I'll keep my profile simplified that it can remain readable without distraction from misplaced icons. It seems anything from image flip is still working from my end, but giphy and imgbb are in a bit of a struggle. (I'll be sure to return to nightly tunes under a clear moon once the servers for media return. I miss my friendly bat.)

As for Murder of Crows, Lethargic Liturgy and the gang are still lurking about as they pursue musical ventures. Meetings are infrequent nowadays, but for now I'll be here writing up my own meanderings and such. Nothing too fancy, but blissfully melancholy. If I get permission, I'll be sure to post some of the album artwork they are working on and demo lyrics.

Now, what is left to discuss?

How about a selection of songs? I'm thinking of creating a virtual jukebox of sorts, perhaps create a "radio program" of sorts that plays some under-appreciated tunes in one long video that you can select an episode and listen during a long drive...or a respite from spiritual and physical traffic :)

I suppose I'll leave with a bit of wisdom.

"Why do people judge my stuff that way? I do not know why they do that. Maybe I am being foolish, but I do not really understand why there is a problem. I think that if you look at the music you can see Christ and you can see a real person struggling, and winning and failing and that is really what life is. If someone wants to have a candy-coated Christian bookstore, and they just want to sell Jesus candy, that is not helping anybody at all. If anything, it is giving them cavities." - Michael Knott

"Each one of us is a human being. There is one purpose for this project and that's to spread the glory of Christ. The symbolism, the impressionism, this sort of thing, it goes over people's heads. It takes sometime getting used to. And because America has become so culturally dead for so many years and has lacked art in the Christian culture for so many centuries, we've become stagnant, we've become numb, you know. Instead we watch too much TV, you know. We keep getting fed the sameĀ  kind mediocre stuff for so long that when something sacred comes along, something where God is really trying to speak on a level that maybe people aren't used to hearing, so most important thing is don't put limitations on what God can do. There's a world out there that can't be reached by anything other than something this severe and this intense and this powerful. There's a world of suffering, a world of pain beyond what you can remember." -Eric Clayton (I have an earlier blog on this very message from 1998 TOMFEST.)

UPDATE: It appears images are back online! Back to blissful nights, with a few upgrades!

(Why not take a gander here or here?)
