Visiting my grandparents; its a slow, rainy, foggy day but i dont mind. I slept really well last night, we were travelling almost all day.
It was really fun, the food was great and i spent most of the car ride listening to music. Ive been really into two bands lately: rotpit and leper colony
We visited a market in nepal, it was alright; there actually wasnt too much to do but we bought a few purses and snacks.
When we got back home, i watched an episode of spawn, which ive been enjoying lately. Idk if its because im used to watching anime, but the lack of sound effects in some parts feels kinda weird to me lol.
I was thinking of going to a town nearby with my cousin, but the rain just wasnt letting up so we gave up on that
I spent the morning chatting with my cousin and drawing the leper colony logo to use as a patch for my battle jacket.
We watched an anime together, i forgot the name but its a violent comedy about a magical girl. Its pretty funny so far.
Since today's pretty slow, ill list a couple of my recent interests that i might not have mentioned before:
1. Doom eternal:
I play on xbox so i have to use a controller, but its really not as hard as some people make it out to be. You just need to make a few adjustments in the settings. I usually play on ultraviolence, but im going to work my way up🔥
Id say turn off aim assist, adjust the horizontality and verticality, customise the weapon wheel until you dont need to look at it to know what youre selecting. Also, make sure youve adjusted the slowdown feature of the weapon wheel. I like it to be slightly faster than the default.
Dont try to play like a keyboard and mouse player, use combos that have more splash damage rather than relying on precision. Grenade CONSTANTLY.
Thats what i do as a console player, anyway. Not the best ever but thats what i do.
And no, i havent played tda yet, but i want to
I was so obsessed with it i had to force myself not to think about it or watch anything related to it because i had to study for my sem 2 first year college exams. Whenever i was listening to music id j start imagining i was playing it
I was like flame belch chainsaw oh mancubus freeze lock on burst lock on burst AA hell knight
2. Wicked:
I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I watched it six times back to back. Every scene is so sumptuous, the details, the choreography. Theres just something about practical effects that feels so much more magical than just cgi live actions. I can just feel the passion in every outfit, every tiny detail of the set design. Even the simplest clothes like elphabas black dress have intricate patterns, its a perfect marriage of organic chaos and structure.
And ofc the singing is otherwordly. I was like im sorry ariana grande, i was unfamiliar with ur game?? I wasnt interested at first cuz i thoughtd itd be some basic pop songs (dont lynch me, i hadnt seen the light then)
But it really blew me away; the wizard and i gives me goosebumps
3. Science fiction books
I've read a long way to a small angry planet, one and half books from the foundation series and im working on 'the swarm'. All very diff vibes, I have to be in a diff mood for each.
Foundation is more like for people who are interested in sociology and mass psychology ig? Its about events in the grand scheme of things, less about tech advancements and aliens and more about how human society itself would look in the future.
A long way is a light read, pretty chill, its more science fantasy, really. Its more focused on the characters, fans of star trek would probably like it. Im interested in reading other books by this author as well
The swarm id say is for people who are actually interested in science, primarily life sciences. Im already familiar with a majority of the concepts the book uses, but you dont have to be actually in those fields, its broken down into pretty simple, digestible terms. You do need a genuine interest though.
Thats all for now, hopefully will post about my bali trip and battle jacket soon, if college doesnt wipe me out as soon as im back in the city
