Lost

I sat in the back seat, my head against the window. I watched the rain drops race, frowning when my raindrop lost. I cuddled my stuffed tiger closer.

I looked up at my mom as she drove and the man in the passenger side argued angrily.

We arrived at a foreign house and pulled into the long driveway. “Where are we?” My soft voice whispers. The man glances back at me and glares at me, shutting me up.

They open the doors and I open mine, unbuckling. My mom opens the trunk and starts carrying boxes inside.

I sit alone by the fireplace playing with my hot wheels.. I hear screaming but I stay silent, moving my toy car back and forth, back and forth..

The man takes one of my barbies and I cry out for it. He grabs a lighter, a evil smirk on his face as he burns the doll's hair and head. Once he was satisfied he threw the doll back at my face, pieces of the doll's burnt hair falling on my lap as I cried and he laughed. He laughed.

I help my mom make my cake, small as my hand, but we had limited supplies.’Happy 6th’ the cake has sloppily pipped on top. I grinned as she rubbed frosting on my nose.

I stood in front of the glass door staring outside at the large oak, contemplating on whether or not to run, run and just never stop. The sharp yells and furious tones interrupt my thoughts.

I sit back down, my back against the wall. It won't ever stop. I think about my family, no one knows where we are. No one. I'm stuck here.

Please get me out.
