The need for recognition to feel as if you have been accepted by mass or by a select few

i hate it with a burning passion, i want to be seen and known yet each chance i get, i manage to fuck it up beyond repair. people scare me, not because they might harm me physically but because they might reject me. i want, i so want but i keep refusing myself it. each time, each and every fucking time.
