An update on my life since I came to live in the UK

Those who are familiar with my blogs will know that I’m an American boy living in the UK and that I am finding life here great. The purpose of this blog is to update on how life is going.

(1)While I am still loving how much later school starts here than in the US there is one thing I am less happy with. The summer holidays here are alot shorter and don’t even start until the middle of July. Having said that we do get alot more shorter holidays throughout the year which I suppose is a good thing.

(2) I now have a Saturday morning job. My girlfriend’s dad owns a grocery shop and he gave me the job. Once the school holidays start he will let me have afew shifts during the week as well.

(3) I have recently become a vegetarian. This came about after I saw some cows looking so content in a field and I remarked how lovely they looked. My girlfriend agreed and said it was so sad that they will soon just be someone’s dinner. The thought of that just seemed so awful and so wrong. I couldn’t stop thinking about how every time we eat meat we are actually eating a beautiful sentient creature and how horrible it is to do that. I resolved never to eat meat again and I never w
