Birthday Recap

Welp, my birthday was yesterday (6/11) and I'm not officially 20. Happy to say that I can be counted as an actual adult for once. I had a pretty good day yesterday.

First, I did my nails. I like to design and do my own nails, I got a acrylic nail kit for Christmas and it's amazing. Doing my own nails is better than spending like 60-70$ at the salon. I made a Mamma Mia themed set because that was my birthday theme this year. The nails came out pretty good.

After that I went fishing with my little brother. We went to a spot that him and his friends go fishing. It wasn't super bad but sadly we caught no fish. We did chat with a guy that was riding his bike, he was pretty friendly. We decided to pack up and go to a different spot. At the 2nd spot we also didn't catch nothing, but I got my line and hook stuck in a tree, twice. It's not me being bad at casting the line, but we were very close to the woods behind us due to the open space being taken up by other people fishing. My brother also got his hook and line stuck in a tree. We wrapped it up after that.

We got home and started to get ready to go to dinner. I just brought new clothes that screamed Mamma Mia and wore that out. It was a blue shirt and a long white skirt with blue flowers on it, very pretty it was. 

For dinner, we went out to this seafood place that my mom was telling me about a few weekends ago. I wanted to try it out because it sounded good. When we got there, there was literally no one there but the employees, kinda awkward but nice. Then it started getting crowded. One of my friends also came along to dinner. I got a seafood boil that had crab, shrimp, potatoes, corn, eggs, and broccoli in a garlic butter sauce. And OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. I'm very happy I got it.

After dinner we went home and had some cake. My mom made me a Mamma Mia cake with a quote from the movie. "How old are you?"  "I'm 20"  "AHHHHHH". If you don't know the movie, the quote is Bill asking Sophie how old she was because he was thinking he was her dad. (It's a very good movie). The cake was really good, it was vanilla with strawberry filling. After cake I opened my gift from my mom, she got me some snacks, candy, stuff I can have for lunch, a blanket, cup, and beads that I've been looking for. I saw a bead tapestry craft online and really want to make one but the dollar store didn't have when I looked. Me and my family hung out and talked after that until my uncle left. Me and my friend then went out for slushies but sheetz didn't have any ready, so we got SpongeBob pops and Bug juice (or tummy yummy juice, depends what you call it). We sat in the car eating it. I'm also upset the SpongeBob pops doesn't have the gum eyes anymore, it's chocolate chip. My friend then dropped me off at home and I chatted with my mom before I came in my room and fell asleep.

Overall it was a very good day and I'm happy with out it turned out. But it kinda a sucked cuz I had to wake up at 8am today (6/12) to get ready for my 10am shift. My scheduling manager sucks for doing that. One of my nails also flew off and almost hit a customer in the face. I felt so bad I apologized multiple times, but she started looking for the nail for me, she was very nice.
