Anime Subtitle Problem

Does anyone else hate how the English translations in Sub are completely different from the Dub? 

So, I have auditory processing issues that came from my autism, so I need to have subtitles, and for watching videos specifically, the dialogue can be pretty hard to understand, so I need subtitles to make the watching experience a bit more easier. 

I heard that some anime are better watched in dub, so one time while I was watching serial experiments lain, I tried to watch it on sub. 

The dialogue and subtitles in dub DO NOT match up for some stupid reason, like I'm trying to read one bit of dialogue, and then the dialogue I hear is completely different, and then I can't understand a god damn word they're saying, and  then I have to switch back to sub just to not get a fucking headache, and that pisses me off SO BADLY. 

Like I get that most anime are produced in Japan, so it needs to go through translations and shit, I get that, but GOD DAMMIT you couldn't bother to at least change the subtitles in the dub to make it more accurate with the dialogue??? sheesh..
