Take My Breath Away

I watch you through the veil of time and glass,
each movement a ripple upon this endless sea,
your eyes, a language only I have learned to read,
your breath, a secret wind that carries me.

Through the slow dance of shadows we move,
entwined in this foolish lover’s game,
turning and returning to a place within —
where hearts can burn and know no shame.

The ocean stretches wide, a mirror of my longing,
each wave a whispered echo of your name.
You move, you turn, a phantom light before me,
and still, my heart repeats the same.

Take my breath away, I hear, again, again—
a silent vow that binds the fragile air between.
The hourglass spills time like falling stars,
and I — a captive of the in-between.

I wait, I watch, my love, still anticipating,
with trembling hands, a fate we cannot flee.
The past a haunting, the future ever shifting,
yet in this moment, you turn and look at me.

Your gaze is slow, a tidal pull unspoken,
drawing me to shores I've yet to tread.
I follow, foolish, fearless, aching,
through every word you’ve left unsaid.

And when the mirror shatters in the silence,
when the world comes crashing in dismay,
I call to you, through all the broken pieces:
"If only for today — I am unafraid."

I would meet you in the wreckage,
I would claim the hours lost to fate,
if but to hear that whispered promise:
"Take my breath away."

Now watching every motion of your being,
haunted still by love that knows no rest,
I trace the flame that burns unseen between us,
the yearning written deep within my chest.

How many times have I returned here,
to this secret place inside my soul?
Each glance from you, a sacred turning,
each touch, the answer to my whole.

Through slow motion dreams and waking moments,
I follow where your shadow dares to stray.
Forever caught, forever choosing —
"Take my breath away."

My love, my curse, my endless longing,
a single gaze can break me to my core.
Yet here I stand, a willing prisoner,
returning always, asking more.

No shame remains within this ocean,
no fear survives the love we make.
For though the world may turn against us,
with you, each breath is mine to take.

So when you move — that fleeting moment —
when you turn and softly say:
"My love," — my heart surrenders,
"Take my breath away."

Again, again, in every lifetime,
through shattered glass and endless tide,
I’ll find you in that place of longing,
no longer needing walls to hide.

For lovers know no shame nor ending
when fate has bound their hearts this way.
Through each return, through every breaking,
you’ll take my breath away.
