I’m an American boy who recently moved to the UK with my mom. (I am actually half British because my mom is from the UK). The reason we moved to the UK is in my profile and has been touched upon in some of my other blogs so I’m not going to go over it again here.
Since I moved to the UK life has been great. One of the best things is how much later school starts over here. In the US I had to start school at 7:30AM. In the UK school doesn’t start until 9AM. All that extra sleep feels so good. I’ve also found a fabulous new girlfriend since moving here. She’s amazing. I’ve recently got a pet cat which is absolutely adorable. In the US I was not able to have either a girlfriend or a pet because my asshole of a dad wouldn’t allow me.(Being free of him is the best thing of all about moving to the UK).
Something I have had to get used to is the fact that in the UK they have different words for some things. For example a semester is called a term and the principal is called a headmaster. Also alot of words are spelled different. For example mom is spelled mom and color is spelled color. My teachers keep saying I spell words wrong but in the US my spelling is right but I guess that in UK the spelling is wrong. I just need to get used to that.

Further correction. I also meant to say color is spelled colour.

Just a correction. I said in my blog that mom is spelled mom. I meant to say mom is spelled mum.
