Therapy upd8s

So as i posted about earlier, i was recently diagnosed w bpd and started an emotion regulation therapy

Today i had my 4th session nd it went pretty well!! We talked abt stepping out of a situation when u feel triggered and observing how u feel

We also got homework to write down feelings, actions and consequenses of those actions which i think is really interesting

And for the last hour we had creative therapy and we worked with clay which was nice but the texture of that clay was not great lmao

Something that really annoys me personally is the fact that i want to immediately have all these skills and never have an episode again but it's only session 4 out of 19 so i gotta stop expecting so much from myself because i quite literally do not have the skills i need yet and i need to be realistic with myself and realize that the healing process is gonna take a LONG time

I've just been coping by drawing ponies ngl, been doing that for 10 years now and i find it comforting, even though my work isn't the best but i have got to stop comparing myself to other artists </3
