It's crazy how a term like islamophobia exists, but you've never heard a word such as Christianityphobia, or jewphobia, or for any other religions.
Why?
Why does such a term even exist? Why do people choose to attack the other for their religion?
"Islam oppresses women."
No. MEN oppress women. BAD MUSLIMS oppress women. BAD GOVERNMENTS AND RULING SYSTEMS oppress women. BUT ISLAM, AS A RELIGION, GOD'S WORDS, NEVER OPPRESSED WOMEN.
Quite the opposite, because Islam gave so many rights to women, if you bothered to do your research you'd know.
And you'd never hear someone say "oh he's a Christian, ofc he's a terrorist," or "oh, he doesn't give any freedom to his daughters, of course he's Jewish," or any other sentence that's similar to this one.
You don't say that this person is bad because of a religion that only is there to bring peace, you need to remember that the person has free will, they choose what to do, and them choosing to hurt a person or not isn't because of their religion, it's because of their basic morals.
Islam was never the problem, the person is.
Mind you, this isn't attacking any other religion, I'm only trying to shed light on the current situation.
It baffles me that for some people this is too hard to understand.

Now this needed to be said, as a Muslim teen girl it’s so hard to watch those dumb, uneducated men who were raised with culture ruin the image of Islam, the amount of things we use today that have been created by Muslim women during the Islam golden age , but just as usual everything that wasn’t made by an European doesn’t get their name on what the invented.
Once I was just scrolling through instagram and I see those Muslim podcasts men claim a women should cover at home because she could be seen through windows, when it’s written on the QURAN ITSELF that there’s no better veil than their home so they can do whatever they want and dress the way they want.
Either way if a women doesn’t cover up, the first glance is a sin for the woman for not covering up but if the men keeps looking it’s a sin for him. The a,oh t of public shaming toward woman who don’t wear hijab when they have the obligation to look down! How do you even achieve to be a full grown man and have less knowledge than a child yet still open your mouth on social media and ruin the image of your own religion?!
Well said!

I agree with you completely on blaming the person and not the religion.
Being able to understand this is a sign of intelligence actually, some people who lack intelligence aren’t capable of recognizing the complexity of the world, so when they see one Muslim being a bad person they’ll automatically assume that all Muslims are bad.
The only way to prevent this is by getting to know each other instead of being in your own little community, so I like to encourage people to travel and get to know people from all different cultures.
Unfortunately Jewphobia (antisemitism) and anti-Christian sentiment DOES exist, group of anything will always be criticized as a whole by some people who aren’t as intelligent.
I’ve seen left wing Americans mock Christianity (like Christian’s marry their cousins) and I’ve seen the Japanese media depict Christianity as a “cult”. I’ve also seen antisemitic posts made on the internet quite often, such as depicting Jewish people’s facial features in a exaggerated way to mock them.
But I assume you’re Muslim? If that’s the case you probably experience and notice Islamophobia a lot more than any other religion so that makes sense. And I’m sorry for that :(
I didn't know about that! Religions shouldn't be mocked BECAUSE WHY?? If it's not encouraging any foul behaviour and they're practising their religion away from you then let them be!
There's also a lot of talk abt "Muslims hating jews" WHICH IS NOT CORRECT
We do not hate Jews, we hate ZIONISTS
And ty for the concern BTW ♡ I live in a Muslim country so the only mocking of exam I've experienced is through the internet

Agnostic here.
There are plenty of strong women and symbolic mentioned in the Bible, Mary, for one.
Some sects of Christianity oppress women, even in the states. But the Bible (most versions) is androcentric. Why... because it was written by men. Jesus was a man, the disciples were men, most of the prophets were men.

Yeah, I’m learning about Christianity right now and I’ve noticed that it’s androcentric.
I’m curious to know what point you were trying to make here though.

I think the point I was trying to make was, how these ""Christian men act misogynistic., especially in regards to politics. The take the biblical traditional role of women literally.
