Wilderness program survivor

I’m curious if anyone else here has been through the trauma of being sent to a wilderness therapy program (or any other type of TTI program). My parents were getting divorced and my mom was going to seek custody of me. Just to spite her my dad had me kidnapped during the night (it’s actually legal for parents to do that in America) and taken to a wilderness program where I was trapped for twelve weeks. Once there you’re denied any and all aspects of modern civilisation and reduced to living a prehistoric lifestyle. You’re reduced to the level of a feral child (which is actually what gave me the idea for my username by the way) and forced to live like an animal. The food provided is mostly dried and packaged garbage which you only eat because it’s literally that or nothing. All you have to drink is water mostly from natural sources and often of low quality. On top of all this you are forced to hike from dawn to dusk five days a week carrying a ridiculously heavy backpack. You have weekly (in my opinion fake)therapy sessions both group and individual aimed at coercing you into accepting the blame for everything wrong in your life whether it’s true or not. They tried to get me to say that I was to blame for my parents divorcing (which is completely untrue because the reason is because of domestic violence of my dad to my mom)which lie I refused to admit to. I actually told them “You’ll go to your grave waiting for me to say that and I’ll go to mine never having said it “. I’m proud to be able to say that I never relented on that.

Soon after I returned from the wilderness program my mom and I left America to live in the UK. (My mom is actually from the UK).That way my dad can’t do the same thing again. I’ve now settled into my new life with my mom in the UK. As for my dad he can drop dead. I hope I never see him again.
