Keep my eyes open

I had a great time relaxing with friends at the lodge this weekend.  I had the opportunity to grow closer with someone I had only met briefly before and we exchanged numbers and I invited her on a road trip next month that some other friends and I are going on.  I really hope she can make it.  Actually I really hope I can make it because I realized I forgot to request the time off from work. 😅 

When I got home I went to a local farmer's market and ate lunch but didn't realize it was about to close down.  And then it rained on me, even though it had been warm and sunny when I left my house.  So I spent most of the time sitting in my car.  Then I went to the eyeglasses store and returned the glasses I had bought because I didn't like the way they looked, felt, or fit. What possessed me to order those, I don't know.  I exchanged them for another pair that I think will be better.

After that I came home for a little bit and practiced for an interview.  Then I went to an anime festival.  Ate dinner there and watched two of the four films they were showing: Battle Angel and Red Line I think they were called.  Battle Angel had a scene where a dog gets killed and I had to cover my eyes during that part.  I don't like that kind of thing, and I don't understand why anyone does or how they can watch it.  The rest of it was down though and the second movie had a really interesting art style and some funny moments. I also found a copy of Outlaw Star the full series on DVD.  That's one of my favorite shows from childhood, so I'm looking forward to watching that again.  There were some amazing art books there but they were way too expensive for me.

I'm chilling at home now savoring the moments before I fall asleep because tomorrow it's back to that place.  I'm very tired though, I don't know how much longer I can keep my eyes open.
