The Cult of Our Ages Must Be Maintained

I recall with a great vitriol a documentary that I sat, half-awake, through roughly a decade ago.

It declared rather blatantly that "The 90's were the last great decade".

That has always concerned me, how immediately the minds of the older ages would hop to declaring that history ended sometime between Y2k and 9/11.

This mentality is prevalent, it eeks it's way into every facet of our lives - and you can see it present in every discussion about "kids these days" which lumps in people in their mid-20's like me who haven't been kids in close to a decade at this point.

It's present in every facet of Generational Self Hatred, where those of our generations deride said generations for Boomer Brownie Points - and in the Generational Warfare levied against us all by Boomers who exploited all systems available to them and then patched the exploits as one last middle finger to their offspring.

As such, the emergent Cult Of Our Age must persist at all costs.

It must be maintained, fuel must be added to the fire, the fire must be stoked constantly, and it must spread wildly.

We must declare a Cultural, Generational, War against all opposition.

It must be a good half of the latter-day Millennials, the many micro-generations which constitute Gen Z, and any other valuable generational allies we can find against everything that came before - as those that came before cannot fathom a world where time and history marched on past their prime.

I never want to be regaled with another fucking story about "Woodstock" ever fucking again so long as I live.

I never want to hear some old bastard waxing poetic about "The Waltons" or "The Andy Griffith Show" ever fucking again - if I hear an old bastard giving their shit takes on tv shows or movies ever again I'm gonna lose my shit.

And most importantly, I cannot underscore this enough, I never want to hear an opinion about anything that requires two or more braincells from the demographic most likely to fall for some "hot horny lady" online who's really "Manjeet" from Hindustan.

The battle lines must be drawn, trenches must be dug, and we must all worship our "good times" in a capacity that will overtake the cults of the old ages.
