Journal #55

HE WANTS TO MARRY ME!!!!! HE WANTS TO MARRY ME!!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO MARRY HIM AND HE WANTS TO MARRY ME SOMEDAY!!!!!!!! WE JUST NEED MONEY FOR NOW. 

It was sort of an accident that I asked him that, but last night we talked about the future and what to do and how to make money in Mexico. I told him my latest idea: to write a small, poetry chapbook, and he loved it. So, at the moment, the plan is to each work on developing our own projects and working towards getting an alcohol license for his aunt's restaurant. The license is $1,500 so we're gonna split the cost. Where we live, (right next to downtown), there's a lot of American tourists coming in from retirement so we'll be able to capitalize on that because we both speak English and he's bilingual and I'm working on that. Furthermore, while I'm there, I could work on my book and work at the library potentially. I just need to work on it while I can. 

I know my third day of retail hasn't even started, but I'm so sick of it in this city, I would just like to save up some money and move out of here. But I'd like a good amount which is why I want to take up an editing job instead so we can earn American money alongside our restaurant income. 

Then I want to get married and dress in pink and white and have it somewhere beautiful like the beach. 

But that's sort of it. I feel very at ease now. It's just a matter of working hard, but I'd keep this job for over a year or five if it meant we could make our dreams come true someday.
