I was just going through recently posted blogs, and I come across at least ten different separate postings of photos of self harm along with quite disturbing comments and titles, such as n@zi supporting, etc. I just want to know - what do you get from posting things like that? How could this possibly benefit you? I used to go through relapses and do things like that way back when (got better), but I would have never wanted anyone to actually know that I'm covered with cuts. Especially on a social media platform.
Honestly, I think SpaceHey should make images all blurred until you click on them. I'm personally not affected by it in a major way, but I know a lot of people might relapse/get back into old habits by seeing those images. It's just a bit disturbing, and I know a lot of other people think the same way. If you need emotional help, mental help, are going through something, just write a blog about it. People are there to read and try to offer advice and help. Don't normalize inflicting pain upon yourself. It shouldn't be something people feel comfortable posting, especially for literally everyone to see. I'm the type of person that's happy to read blogs about people going through things and offer comfort. But seeing things like that isn't something anyone should be seeing, especially considering people under the age of 18 are on this application, which could affect younger minds. They might just pick up the idea and start doing it themselves. I don't want to seem like a karen or some person who's not understanding other people's pain, but it's just something I find morally wrong.
