Today we are getting ready for the Summer Solstice that is on itâs way, also known as Litha to some witches or Midsummer! Litha is on June(6) Twenty-first(21) of this year 2025!Â
Litha marks the longest day of the year, the day the Sun is up the longest and welcoming Summer! (For the Northern hemisphere, different areas have it at different times but i live in usa so i go off our time!)
Litha is a celebration of our sun, light, abundance, and power. It is also about the fertility of the earth as we welcoming mother nature into our lives more. Light and water are some of the best things to incorporate into your life for Litha, with water being about renewal and energy.Â
What can I do to celebrate Litha you may ask, well like most holidays there are quite a few things you can do below!Â
1. Set up your altar and reorganize and cleanse it. Add things for summer and light such as golden candles or flowers and garlands. Sunflowers and St Johns Wort can represent the vital force and vibrant energy of the sun.Â
2. Decorate as well with flowers and other herbs that fit the vibes such as oak branches or lavender or more sunflowers.Â
3. If you do offerings look into what your deities enjoy but good things for this time persian is fruits, honey, bread, and wine for abundance of harvest.Â
4. You can also just worship light, lay in the sun, enjoy nature, pray to who you pray to, anything outside really can be seen as celebrating! Go on a walk, lay in the grass, have a nice bonfire, swim in a pool or safe lake even!Â
