hello fellahs. For assignment 2 of this unit i was required to create a "one sheet" and "one page" out of one of my prototypes in preparation of assignment 3. For this assignment i chose my dragon racer as it was the most successful prototype i had made. This is how it went.
i began with with drawing my one sheet, as it seemed to be the easiest thing to start off with. the purpose of a one sheet is to act as a general branding poster of sorts which would draw in potential players to the game. Think of it like a cake box, where the the one sheet is the front of the box which tells the audiences what the ideal version of the product would be.
The one page on the other hand is the instructions on the back of the box. The purpose of the one page is to describe to future developers the instructions on how to make the game and what should be included. This part must be highly detailed in order for it to be effective, so i had to use an A3 formatting to fit all my information in it.
These were created to serve the purpose of showing my future team my prototype's features to further improve the prototype and expand using the notes i had provided in my one page. This was also made for the purpose of successfully pitching my game and its formal elements in a succinct manner, which is something explained in chapters 3 and chapter 16
I will be talking about my process with that in my next post. Anyways thats all for now, Kieran signing out!
