spoilt creatures

i had to work over the weekend but luckily i could read during the majority of my shift.  Finished a book.  I just love a good story about insane women.  the main character wasn't necessarily completely fucked up, just a series of bad events and choices which could happen to anybody.  I could relate to her a lot, but not in  a way that made me feel good.  i imagine my bad qualities were amplified in her like a fun house mirror.  looking for a lot of outward validation, while also wanting someone to take care of her, but also wanting to be seen as someone strong and independent.  She was needy and came across as mean when she tried to emulate people she saw as strong. i liked the book.
