32nd anniversary

Saw my brother for the first time in a while, we didn't talk about anything serious just got coffee together. I think I'm trying out a new version of our relationship where we're just brothers.

We used to be brothers and business partners and coworkers and band mates and best friends.

I think that was too much and it put a strain on our relationship.

My parents anniversary was yesterday. Not the first day they met or their wedding anniversary. It was the anniversary of the time my mom told my dad he could "stay the night" at her place. They had known each other for a few months and I think they both knew that they liked each other. My dad went over to her house and they snuck in one kiss in before... Surprise! Grandma came over for a suprise visit. She wasn't having any of it and made my dad wait outside for his friend to come pick him up.

I've been to the park where he waited many times, but I only heard the story yesterday. It must have been so special for him to go back there with his kids and his wife.

He went home that night and called up my mom and this is what she told me he said "hey so I uhh wanted to ask if uhh you would be my woman?"

Yesterday was their 32nd anniversary

My mom told me that story and I in turn told her the story of my first date with the love of my life and I can't imagine how that must have felt for her. My brother has a story like that as well and I guess now we're just waiting on my sister to meet a good guy/girl. She's still got a lot of partying to do though hahaha
