Yesterday, I used Linux Mint, specifically the xfce version, Honestly, I didn't like it; I prefer the cinnamon version. Well, now you're probably wondering, what's up with this? Well, I'm an idiot who can't be satisfied with anything, so I said, "I'll try Peppermint OS"BIG MISTAKE. It all went wrong when I deleted the Mint partition from my hard drive. Grub stopped working, and I thought, "It'll be fixed after installing Peppermint." Haha, you're an idiot, Sebastian. (my real name, in case you don't understand) So, I started the installation, everything was going perfectly, up to one point: the grub installation. That's when everything went wrong. I got an error telling me that the entire partition was corrupted. I looked for a tutorial, I found one, it didn't work (it always happens to me). So, I tried again, this time deleting everything from grub and Linux, even worse, the error persisted. I couldn't even access Windows, so I had the idea to delete the Windows partition, My hard drive was full of stupid partitions: the Linux partition, the Windows partition, the Windows recovery partition, and that stupid Grub. I thought, "Okay, everything will be fine again. I'll have my Linux, and then...I'll go back to Windows, that easy", I couldn't have been more stupid... the thing is that the iso provided by Peppermint OS, from SourceForge There's some kind of error, and it has to do with the 32-bit version. My computer, despite being from 2011, is 64-bit. So, the ISO is corrupted, damn it.What I did was take my USB with Linux to an internet cafe and ask them to make it bootable to install Windows 10 again. Now, it's 3:20 in the afternoon (Central Mexico time), At 5:30 I'll go get that USB and do the process I've been doing for you for the last 4 months. Honestly, I'm fed up with Linux. I love Linux, but it always gives me so many errors with my computer. The distributions that have worked best are Linux Mint and Ubuntu. Debian was running a bit slow, why? I don't know... until Google Chrome stops supporting Windows 10, I'll leave Windows at 100% (note, I use Firefox, but that's because it's the most used program, I won't go with Firefox.) Anyway, I'm getting a MacBook for Christmas, so that old 2011 Toshiba will be just for testing systems. So I'm not too worried about it. Also, I don't download software unless it's from the official website, and I don't stupidly download games either. I only download music from Mega and ThePirateBay.
Also, I'm very careful about what I do in Windows, so I've never had a virus... Don't use peppermint os, seriously, I spent 10 fucking dollars on that USB stick!! That's also why I didn't upload a blog yesterday. I hope I can upload the other one I have pending. I'm writing all of this from my cell phone and it's very uncomfortable...
