I know this song might be associated with some bad things, but I felt like it fits here.
As most of you know, I recently opened up about the fact that I believe in Judaism and I'm planning to convert. However, many people left me after I opened up about it and I'm pretty sure it's antisemitism and bias. I guess they think every Jew (as well as future Jew) is a Zionationalist (I personally think that Palestine and Israel both deserve to exist with better governments, and a two-state solution is probably the least harmful way; promoting Palestinian freedom is awesome, but actually denying Jews right to their own piece of land is antisemitic).
Anyways, I felt very hurt by it. But I grew out of planning revenge - instead I know that smiling and glowing up is the best revenge.
And today I found something really symbolic in New York - a Hamsa necklace. I would wear an Etz Chaim necklace before but it was already losing it's shine, and it's a much broader symbol often associated with spirituality in general, so it's not exactly something screaming: "Yes! I believe in Judaism! So what?!". A Hamsa is mostly associated with Judaism and Islam and is considered Judaica, so if a person knows this and sees that I'm not wearing a hijab, they might be able to put two and two together.
Basically, this is important for me, since I really want to show these people that they can't break me that easily. So what if I believe in Judaism? What matters is whether someone is a good person, not if they're Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, agnostic, etc...

rock on!! thats awesome, i think antisemitism is sadly still a huge problem after all those years 3 im glad youre open about your religious beliefs :DD
Thank you! I've lost like half my friends after revealing I believe in Judaism. Or rather, I just hinted at it. I had this friend, I remember our last talk where I hinted that I think Judaism is the only Abrahamic religion that makes sense (but accept others!). I think we haven't spoken since and we don't sit together in class anymore. Funny thing - her boyfriend majors in Hebrew. A group of people on Discord raided my server after that, spamming slurs etc. And it's hard to find a day when I do not get called the k-word. I literally haven't even converted yet, I'm still getting ready. But whatever, these people will grow up and realise they did wrong. And if they don't, then I guess I'm sorry for them. Must be sad to live your life based on hate and prejudice.

thats awful :(( but if those friends weren't able to accept you no matter what religion you believe in then they werent good friends ig, i hope youll find more people who accept you the way you are ^^ ive had a fascination with judaism as a little kid and it made me sad to see adults get upset over the fact that im interested with it :/

Mostly people just assume that all that Jews do nowadays is bomb Palestine. Actually, I've spoken to an Israeli and she said that probably most of them don't even support their government! Like, yeah, Judaism is a "Zionist" religion if we define Zionism as patriotism. But not if we define it as nationalism - that's why I call the Israel-only-no-Palestine ideology Zionationalism. Independent Israel? Of course! But NO bombing Palestine, and while I don't support the idea of Palestine taking all of Israel, they deserve to have some of the land that is mostly populated by Palestinians.
But well, extremism is the root of this hatred. Both sides don't even want to think about peace - they just want to choose either side and argue with the other.

ur so righttt and yea ppl of countries that commit atrocities are quite often aware that their government sucks so at least theres hope for a better government in the future :3 aand yea its rlly important to remember that patriotism and nationalism are two different things bc its okay to be proud of who you are without thinking that everyone else sucks

Exactly! But nowadays most are either nationalistic extremists, or cosmopolitan extremists. I'm Polish-Belarusian and I'm a patriot for both but I don't really support neither of the governments. And also, as someone planning to convert to Judaism, I DO have a sort of patriotic relationship with the Land of Israel, but it doesn't mean I will kick someone out of it and say they don't deserve to have a country. The Holy Land is the Holy Land no matter who it belongs to, and it's not like only one country can exist,
