As much as I love yj S3 has been so...mid??? S1 and 2 were SO good w all the drama esp in the teen timeline and the characters are peak. I think the problem w s3 is the characters. Melissa being the final survivor is so bad, and I'm not just saying that cause of bias, it just is. Mari and Akilah were also side characters but they has relevance in S1 and 2 and were named and had lines. Mel only got a name in s3, was only slightly relevanct in s2 and that was just cause she made a comment here and there, and all of a sudden she's outlived everyone?? It's so bad. They should've had better build up to Mel and no, I don't wanna hear "it was meant to be shocking" it's just LAZY to make your final survivor so BADLY written and unknown. But my main issue is how the adult timeline correlates with the teen timeline. The adult timeline is literally progressing the characters the same way the teens are. Adult Shauna all of a sudden goes insane and wants to he Antler Queen again, at the same time teen Shauna does? Plus why don't Nat and Shauna have more beef in the adult timeline??? The problem is that the adult timelime will give too much away abt the teen so they have to have their dynamics correlate as if the teen timelime is happening RIGHT NOW, not before the adult timeline which makes the characters and plot feel off. plus the TOTAL character assassinations of Taissa and Shauna as well as Lotties lazy death
