Little lights

Well today it was back to the grind but something beautiful happened.  I just had this wonderful excited feeling, I think it was joy haha.  I've never been married but I think it was like what someone feels on the morning of their wedding day.  Like a really special occasion, and I was thinking: wouldn't it be something if everyday could be a special occasion?  I think it can be.  And work was as usual but I just felt different.

After work I picked up a friend from her work because her car was in the shop and we went for a walk by the waterfront and then met some friends for a picnic in the park.  Some of them brought their dogs.  There was a beautiful red retriever, a Welsh corgi, and a labradoodle.  The retriever and the the corgi got into a fight over some food but nobody got hurt.  The labradoodle barked at literally everything and was very excited.  A couple walking by had a type of dog I've never seen before.  They brought him over to socialize him.  He was soo tiny and fluffy and completely black.  He looked like one of those little soot balls from My Neighbor Totoro. 

When I got home I tidied up a bit and now I'm just sitting here listening to a podcast.  I have the blinds open and I'm looking out my window at the buildings in my neighborhood with little lights in the windows.  I'm starting to get sleepy.
