Fucking FINALLY investigated the ding dang sprinkler! It's drip irrigation and a few inches underground in some areas so I was digging and then just kinda following it under the buckwheat with my fingers to see if I could find a turn or an elbow which wouldn't be so bad if our dirt wasn't HARD as FUCK!! It's really very rocky in a way where there's not a ton of big rocks but it's clear that the ground has sort of got together and agreed to make all the small parts more like one big rock. Anywho, I found an end cap! Yay! And I found an elbow piece that goes... down? But I'm really not going to worry about that, I'm just gonna put the end cap on the place where the elbow is and then gently shimmy the tubing out of the roots. I felt bad for disturbing the roots and the little bugs that live under the buckwheat mats. This is definitely an argument for figuring out your watering correctly so you don't fucking have to do . this. It's not that bad tho its just like I'm hitting the ground with a trowel and it feels rude and silly.
AVOCADO SCIONS! I ordered them! I guess this is me spending my job money in a fun adult hobby way? I got 3 Hass scions and 1 MEXICOLA GRANDE! I'm gonna get tree pots for, well, my trees. Gonna move the avocado and mango into them. Gonna clean the scale off the avocado.... Then I need to check with the next door neighbor that it's ok grafting some scions to their avocado tree (that produces very little fruit that is eeeeehh on the edible side). The avocado also needs nutrients.. and just some TLC.
Overall! Excited for them to come! Need to order a mango scion too. Lots more to do regarding squarsh seeds but not today. Homework. And recovering from work week.

i think a hybrid between the avocado and the mango would be cool. you could call it the MANGOCADO
tragically they are in different families... fated lovers passing in the night....
