I wonder if you can feel me. can you feel my breath still when I think of you. can you feel the pounding of my heart against the cage that holds it in. can you feel my touch as I try to hold onto the thought of you. can you feel my tears run down my face as I realize that you are too far out of my reach. can you feel what I feel? or do you simply block it out so you don't have to face the fact that I long for you in ways that no other human will ever know. can you feel how much you have changed me in such little time? or do you simply choose not to notice when I show you my true mind. can you feel me? or do you simply ignore the fact that you are closer to me than any other. can you feel me as my body relaxes when you speak? can you feel my body heat up like the stars in the sky? when you look up at the night sky, do you feel me?
(do you think we were close when we were stars?)

This feels like the kind of love that lives in silence, in spaces where words can’t reach. Sometimes, when we miss someone that deeply, we start to wonder if they can feel the weight of our thoughts, if our feelings somehow touch them, even from far away. Maybe that’s what true connection is...when someone becomes a part of you so quietly, that even in their absence, their presence lingers. Your words feel like a soft cry into the night, hoping they look up at the same sky...and feel you there
