Last night (4/5/25) I went to Grad Bash with a bunch of my friends! For those who don’t know, Grad Bash is a high school senior (and sometimes 8th grade) celebration done for Florida students where both universal parks close, and we have full reign for whatever time slot your school gets. Now it was still very packed, and some rides even had wait times of 200 minutes but luckily for me, I don’t like crazy rides, so all the rides I went on were a 25-minute wait time or less.
The bus ride to universal was fun we got to pick out busses so all my friends were with me, I mainly just read the whole time lol.

At first, I had plans on going to be grouped with my friends, but one group left without me and the other group was planning on going on all the big rollercoasters, so I would have ended up being alone, instead, I embraced the opportunity and started to walk alone and take photos. My plan was to see a horror show and eat a crêpe, but sadly, the horror show was only for chaperons and the crêpe store was closed ((╥‸╥)), so my whole schedule ended up being completely messed up, and I got very anxious. I started to panic a little at the fact my plan had been turned completely upside down.

Luckily, I saw another group of friends that I had in one of my classes and joined them. After speaking to them for a little, we decided to split up into pairs as two of them loved the bigger rides; me and the other boy didn’t. The former two ended up going to a velocicoaster (at the time the wait said 100 minutes, but it ended up taking them 3 hours to get on the ride!!) and the other boy and I ended up wandering around in stores. I was so happy to have found someone that didn’t like roller coasters. It was so refreshing to finally be in a park with someone who likes rides and won’t mind riding on only the smaller ones. I didn’t really know this guy that well, but we meshed pretty well together!

After 2 rides and a quick drink break, we ended up being joined by my boyfriend who had been left by his group. We went on the cute little Dr Seuss coaster and headed to go eat since my boyfriend was hungry lol. While eating, the other two joined back, and we went on the train to go to the other park (we didn’t really need to since we got the walk backstage and quickly got from one park to another, but it was for the vibes). After that, we went to the mummy. I was so nervous because I had never been on it before. I’m kind of a baby when it comes to faster-paced rides, because I don’t like being moved so quickly and I get migraines very easily, but it was actually super fun and I really enjoyed it !!

Once it was around 1:40 AM we headed back to our buses at to go home. I was honestly still full of energy. I really wanted to explore more, but once I got home I immediately fell asleep, so maybe it was just the adrenaline loll. I had a bunch of fun even if my plans kept getting changed. :-] I’m very proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone in more ways than one that day while still managing to have fun and enjoy spending time with new friends.
