Brise is for the girls and Brise is for the spring, so here we are! Honestly, this was one of the last songs on merveilles to grow on me, but once I got her I realized she had been that B all along. As you can probably guess from the background, she reminds me of good weather and flowers. HOWEVER! The white room we hear about in the lyrics apparently refers to a hospital room, which makes our sweet little Brise a well-disguised sad song (very mindful, very malicious, very miserable)
As always, any comment is more than welcome and thank you for reading!
Brise
(lyrics: Gackt / music: Közi)

Breeze
When the sky gently lands on the night's transparent skin
The whisper of the wind plays slipping through my fingers
You tenderly hold out the palm of your hand
And without blinking, you stare at me as I plunge into the sky
Your small body stretches out of the window of an empty, white room
You came a little closer to this sky, and now you're dancing with me
I'll console you with this lullaby on quiet nights,
So don't cry like that
The wind whispers
"There isn't even a smell of burnt asphalt tonight"
Suddenly things happen around you, and you wonder what to do... Are you confused?
You tenderly hold out the palm of your hand and you dive into my chest
The stillness of the city and the lights lined up like birthday candles are all for you
You look at the landscape from afar at the window of an empty, white room
As you are enveloped by a chilly breeze at dawn
I always prayed that a miracle would make this day happen
Your small body stretches out of the window of an empty, white room
You came a little closer to this sky, and now you're dancing with me
You came a little closer to this sky, and now you're dancing with me
On this quiet night, show me your lovely face
Note: the lyrics are fairly simple, but I took a bit of creative freedom to make some passages work. For example, the lyrics don't mention "birthday candles", but the lights are "as many as (your) years of age", so given that everything seems nicely set for "you" I thought it made sense as an image. Also, at the end of the verse right under that, it's more of a "I always prayed for a miracle for this day" but it sounded more awkward to me. If you have any ideas or thoughts, please do let me know!
Thank you for reading and thank you Maiden Death for the code :) Background by allura-raine
