People say that love is beautiful. Easy. But I do not believe that it is. I believe true love is when you are willing to argue with someone for days, maybe even weeks, and still decide to stay by their side. Now, there are some exceptions of course, but I believe that the only way something can work is by never giving up on it. Nothing was meant to be easy. And I don't think love is easy.
With love comes hurt, jealousy, disagreements, pain, and so much more. But I believe that is how you know it is love and not just empty, false feelings. When you are willing to spend months, years, a lifetime figuring it out and working things through with someone.
But at what point does it truly cross the line? When does the love disappear, and things get toxic? It is hard to tell sometimes. Sometimes, you could think the other person is the problem, but you are the one causing the problems. They are just reacting. But other times, they truly could be the problem, but you continue to blame yourself because you still love them so much that you would take the fault for all the fall outs.
Love is complicated, but it shouldn't kill you.
