Man I wish I could switch over to a flip phone or something for the sake of unplugging my mind when I'm out and for the sake of privacy but I have to stay in contact with my family through What'sapp and Pikmin Bloom has honestly done so much to encourage me to go out on long walks for my metal and physical health. (Like seriously, I'm pretty sure I've explored my entire town as well as several of the surrounding ones.) Plus I'm a little addicted YouTube.
There's a community of people out there that made the switch and how it helped them get away from doom scrolling and addictive algorithms and it's made me what to do it all the more.

The last one is especially good I think.
I'm doing the next best thing and trying to decentralize my phone like using my physical alarm clock instead of the one on my phone and leaving my phone downstairs to charge before I go to bed so I don't go on Youtube before and after I wake up, journaling on a physical notebook instead of an online doc, etc. as well as following the advice of that last video.
Maybe someday in the future when I don't have to keep in contact with my dad anymore through Whatsapp I can convince my brother and sister to text me on a focused app or something, but until then I'll just stay jealous of all the people who could make the leap.

Yeah. I'm not the most social guy in the world but even I can't fully avoid it. Plus I sometimes need it for my job. At least I can change some settings so companies don't have access to _all_ my data.
