Hello, again! My dearest friends!
I'm sorry I've not updated my blog recently. Nothing to say, I suppose. I'm starting counseling, I'm supposed to be talking to the Therapist who is employed part time at the school so I'm hoping the conversations don't just boil down to "what do you want to do after high school" and lame stuff like that. I'm clearly suffering here, and though I don't like speaking about myself all that personally, maybe taking a peak behind the mask with a so called professional would help me?
Mental health crisis aside, I've been trying to find more ways to design characters. Since right now my only two reliable methods of making references are "elaborate tracing and editing" and "let's make a Garry's Mod PAC3 and then take some screenshots of it". The latter of which involves the former process as a step anyway.
I mean, it's not necessarily bad. I'm sure it's pretty hard to tell all my lowpoly character models are styled after Mr. Heller my beloved-- as I always add my own flair. Nor do I severely dislike my tinkertoy style I made the most recent Animate in (though the charm doesn't transfer over to SFM as well as I thought).
I just keep getting these wretched visions of a really cool anime-ish art style or two that I want to model but can't quite find a way to articulate in 2D. and if I can't make a 2D Reference...well...
Various atrocities would be had.
I've also been hyperfixating on finishing my Portal 1 mod, but I'm trying to lean away a bit and get back into practice doing animation and still art. I want to make a short film shortly after the mod is finished so I can have two "senior projects" (neither of which I'm doing for a class).
Someday soon I'll hopefully have a Ko-Fi, so you (my few readers), could support me!
But for now Darlings, tah tah! <3
