when i was 10 i was at home playing games on my bed when suddenly i heard a knock on my door. i knew it was weird cuz the knock didnt sound like my parents knocking on my door. I went up to my door and of course, no one was there.
so i went back to bed, then i heard it again. this time i KNEW it wasnt real. it wasnt in my mind. and like, i could tell the sound had absolutely zero distance between where i was sitting and the door in my room. it was in my EARS.
now, i havent ever experienced a hallucination. the most delusional ive gotten was last year when i was very very close to a mental crisis and was absolutely convinced that someone was going to break into my house and kill me. but that was last year and this happened when i was 10. i had basically no mental health issues. when i told my mum what happened back then, she told me it was cabin fever and i hadnt been outside for a while. but i looked it up recently and i havent found anything that lines up. cabin fever can cause hallucinations but only if you already have psychiatric issues or have been inside for a reallly really long time. Also, im VERY sure that when this happened i had my window wide open and the sun was shining into my room. it was the middle of the day, i wasnt sleepy or anything. i wasnt taking much medication, and even the meds i was taking was just basic adhd meds and meletonin at night.
so... i honestly dont know what that was. either it was just a random auditory hallucination, or something really fuckin weird happened.
