alright, i know how to style my profile, but how do i organize it???
i've seen some people create a div with an id of 'code'. but should i separate my stylesheet into logical style tags?? like, one for background stuff, other for tables, other for comments??

Yes if you are willing to put lots of time on it. The codes you will find will mostly work if you try it more than once, i have no idea why it does that.
