I stare in the mirror,

Someone stares back.

The person in the mirror isn't me,

Not who I'm trying to be,

But who I'm trying to leave.

I dont like the person in the mirror,

They don't like me either.

I'm just the man who can't stop staring at themself

Is it selfish?

Is it rude?

Or do I just try to look,

So that I can see everything wrong,

Every flaw,

So that I can try and see,

See if it's fixable.

Try to compare myself,

To the man in the mirror.
