ASPD rant

*insert clip of Case saying, "oh buddy don't even get me STARTED..."*

As someone who struggles with ASPD, a part of me is glad that we aren't represented, and a part of me hates how we are not seen enough.
Why I am glad about us not being in the spotlight is that... oh come on, we would get normalized but in a bad, attention-seeking way. I think some of you wouldn't care and like that, as any good attention is good attention, right? I think not. I don't know about you, but I absolutely HATE when I see songs titled 'borderline personality disorder' or 'narcissistic personality disorder' *COUGH* FUCK YOU ODETARI *COUGH* and then never see the artist make 'antisocial personality disorder'. bitch we are in the same cluster b, where's OUR song? where's OUR light? oh right, we are so stigmatized, the other two look like angels compared to us, right? so we aren't shared, we aren't seen because we are not the 'pretty disorder that a lot of shitheads that dont even have the disorder idolize because they think theyre cool' or maybe because a bunch of serial killers/murderers grew up with terrible childhoods and unfortunately all had the same disorder or they were a bunch of psychos that had similar symptoms. they think us cluster b fucks are crazy, but aspd is more bad than the other two of our colleagues.
its like, if you're going to make a song about our disorders or have it in the title at least do it fucking right. it really bothers me of how little aspd is seen in mainstream media, but then again I don't want us to get blown out of proportion because the last time aspd had a whole big play on the mainstream media (that i know of at least) was when shane dawson did that documentary on jake paul about him being a sociopath. and a lot of people were freaked out about that lol. "oooh one in twenty-five people could be a sociopath!! what if one of my friends are crazy????" im just glad some people were able to explain the disorder or the term sociopath more better than a LICENSED THERAPIST did.

sorry if it looks like a mess, it is a rant after all but i hope i got my point across!

Yeah I def agree. But also it sucks when a disorder is "mainstream" per se, because self-diagnosers always go around claiming they have 2983798247 disorders and not even knowing anything about them, and I feel like that'll happen with ASPD too

yeah!! and ive unfortunately seen people not even fitting the diagnosis criteria and associate themselves w/ ASPD or any other disorder just because they felt out of place with their norms :( i just wish people did more research on their perspective disorders or get a psychiatrist BEFORE affirming themselves into it because disorders are a lifelong issue and some people just don't understand that.
