Intro?!? Woah!!! :P

I forgot that I can't just say stuff without first going, "yeah... yknow... this is... me...". Tbh I'm horrible at introducing myself to the point idk what to say when I'm being interviewed, but oh well!

So, to start, I'm a first-gen Chinese American who also happens to be a 20-yr-old second-year pre-med college student majoring in immunology and minoring in art studio and chemistry (it's basically included with the imm major, so it's nothing special). Ideally, I would be studying architecture or industrial design, but I'm too much of a pushover and people-pleaser to do that. I hope to pursue pathology (idk which subset yet) because I really love using microscopes and learning about anatomy. I also really like microbiology. If you can't tell, I just really like using microscopes (and telescopes!) to look at things. I only chose immunology because it's the closest to anatomy and microbio that I could get... not because I actually care about the immune system. Granted, I do have a slight interest in the immune system (I kinda have to cuz yknow... this is my second year studying it), but it's mainly because I watched Cells At Work in middle school, and I still haven't gotten over it LOLOL.

Oh, wow... see, there's a lot more to me, but I'm also the rabbit-hole, deep-dive, info-dump type of person, so that's why you're going to read EVERYTHING about me currently. On with the science stuff!

I'm currently in a lab that does research on neuroimmunity and how it affects social behavior. It's cool af but I don't really do much because my class schedule is so conflicting. I tried to optimize my schedule for being only afternoon classes since mice behavior is preferably tested in the morning, but even then, I still don't have enough time to actually conduct behavior experiments. Maybe over the summer (I say this as if I don't plan to work, have classes, and hope to be involved in a pathology program). I think that's everything about me STEM wise... um... my work also involves handling mice... last night, one of them bit me actually... that was the first time I was bitten by a mouse... it really hurt...

Now for the fun stuff heheh >:3

I loooooooove arts and crafts. I'm a fiend for any type of art. Visual, audio, performance, written, textile, literally anything- Very rare opinion, but I even like abstract art. Specifically, the ones that are to "test the materials" or something like that (I love Bauhaus). I love using art as a form of expression or space to experiment. I first got into drawing mainly in middle school because one of my friends made Undertale fanart for our grade's art show, and I thought, "I wanna draw like that too!" Thus, I began my journey drawing stick people and short comics. That's how my art insta (@goddessofstickpeople shameless plug) came to be. During this time, I got really good at drawing facial expressions because of how limiting stick people's movements are. Also in middle school, I got into musicals, which meant I got into szin and other animatic YouTubers. I love crafting with cardboard (call back to architecture) and, in general, building things. I used to want to be a mechanic when I was younger. I was also involved with my high school plays and musicals, but that was also COVID era, so I didn't do much then. My only major red flag is that I listen to Hamilton when I drive between home and school because it's the perfect length, and the karaoke keeps me awake. This is something I discovered late last year. After what was basically four years of not listening to Hamilton, I went to averaging like 6 run-throughs a month.

Anyway, I love love loooooooooooooove fashion. I think it's so fun and whimsy. I'm specifically a big fan of Gothic ouji and tanbi kei fashion. I have many pieces that I style, but I rarely wear them because I'm in at least one lab a day. I still try to incorporate the style when I can, though you'll almost always see me in a t-shirt and jeans. Actually, I've been really into wearing kandi. I got into kandi-making last winter, and I've been obsessed since. I've made star cuffs, just cuffs, small fidget toys, and singlets. One night, while making a singlet, I realized I had never actually made myself a cuff. All the ones I've made, I've given to other people, but that's what makes kandi fun. The kandi I have to my name are based off some of my favorite characters: Kaeya from Genshin, and everyone from Wonderland x Showtime (Colorful Stage) but Nene (gave it away someone who cosplayed her at a con). I love that kandi is basically just modernized weaving and I'm a sucker for anything textile related. I have plans to make more kandi; I just haven't had the time nor the string... I should make Mononoke kandi... hmmmm >:)

Moving on! I love Ateez and Plave. I like Plave more due to well... I'm a people person, but otherwise, I love them both equally. I'm very much in a Plave hyperfixation arc right now. Out of all the k-pop groups I follow (en-, skz, atz, plave), I would say Bamby is the most similar person to me I have ever laid eyes on. Obviously, I've met people like him and me irl but like to see those characteristics on a screen is mind-blowing to me and, honestly, comforting.

Some other general interests of mine are astronomy, astrology of every culture, mythology, traditional medicine, religion, animation of every medium, and horror (only through analysis vids tho cuz otherwise my anxiety/paranoia would act up).

Anyway! That's just about everything about me. Obviously, it's more on me as a person rather than "my interests yahoo yipee yay!" cuz yknow... there's a section for that and I'm too lazy to go over all that. Hope yall had a fun read >:3
