Hello everyone!
We are back with another unrecorded little diva which we absolutely love. And that's why I'm (respectfully) furious that we not only lack an official version, but we also have TWO unofficial versions with different lyrics!
This is Gackt's version, which is personally my favorite because I think his voice complements the song so well, and it is also much easier for me to understand. I will also get to work on Tetsu's one which we love just as much!
There is one BIG doubt [*] but the rest makes decent sense, so any input is more than welcome.

The scene reflected in the girl's eyes
I started walking in the sunlight filtering through the trees
but I suddenly stopped, and when I looked up, suddenly...
I nodded slightly, realizing that I had done something like this before
And I moved forward a little
On that path where we walked like this,
Walk with me once again, singing a song...
I raise my voice at him, *
and once again I have the feeling that I can go back to those honest times
I raise my voice at him,
and I see my tired face reflected in the glass
I raise my voice at him,
as I see my tired face reflected in the glass
I raise my voice at him,
and once again I have the feeling that I could go back to those honest times
I had the feeling that...
I had the feeling that...
I had the feeling that...
So, let me explain my logic first. I had two main ideas (which could both be wrong) for the first verse of the chorus, which are:
- 声を彼に振り上げ Koe wo kare ni furiage (I raise my voice at him)
- 恋を華麗に振り上げ Koi wo karei ni furiage (I raise my love splendidly (?))
The point is that the verb "furiageru" (to raise/swing up a physical object) doesn't make as much sense as I'd like it to, so I just chose what felt less of a stretch.
The reason I thought the "him" makes sense is that since we are talking about "the scene reflected in the GIRL's eyes" I thought that the verses before the chorus are sung in first (male) person, considering there is also a "boku" ("I", used mostly by men). But the chorus could be from the girl's perspective, as she remembers some moments with nostalgia or bitterness.
OR! This sentence is not actually in Japanese but in Gackt's spicy little English, which makes it unintelligible and lost forever.
OR! This is entirely gay and the girl in question is me, watching respectfully as homovampires long for each other. I guess we'll never know!
As always thank you for reading and thank you Maiden Death for the code! Background by Treehouse Gardens
