~ the universe has been speaking to me in the quietest of ways lately.. subtle whispers guiding my decisions. this afternoon it told me to skip my usual gym routine and take my dogs for a walk instead. we headed to one of our favorite parks and just a few minutes into a walk we notice a man staring into the woods, looking into the trees very intensely. of course my curiosity kicked in so i started to search the branches, expecting to see an owl.. but instead it was a bald eagle! as i am about to turn away the man looked over at me and offered his binoculars for a better view. of course, under normal circumstances i would of passed on the offer.. but today was different, because my dogs were with me! they're big softies but they sure do look intimidating enough to keep any danger away~ i've never seen a bald eagle in person before, let alone the ability to see it up close.. but this year i'm challenging myself to keep embracing new experiences, with an open heart and mind. i couldn't get a good picture, obviously... but here he is! ~
