A piece of media being successful doesn't make it good

As the title suggests, ppl need to realize that a successful piece of media doesn't equate to a good piece of media.

Like, no, idgaf if Hazbin Hotel made more than a million bucks, got nominated dozens of times, won a buncha awards, got praised by both critics and fans and hit a few other milestones, I'll still think it's a bad show and that Panty and Stocking is miles superior, because it was much funnier and cooler and left a bigger impact on me, even though it wasn't a big shot like Hazbin Hotel when it first came out.

(And for clarification, no, this is not your average 'Hazbin bad' type of post, I'm mainly using it to provide a comprehensible and understandable point to you, the reader. My argument does not strictly apply to tv shows, but also music, movies and even books)
