color-wise? (btw yes im aware the shading's not perfect, im currently
more focused in color rn)

Ufff i love them both….i mean if you plan to make your art piece more like soft then 1 and if you plan to make it more saturated then 2
But honestly i would add both of them so there would be 2 aliens cuz more=better >:)

I think you sould switch the colors, so the body is brown and the highlight is yellow. Then he will be a big poopy alien!! LAMAO!
