No, it’s not just ‘how it is’

People are actually conditioned to believe that struggling is ‘just how it is’. Like, people will honestly reply to difficulties with ‘that’s life’. No! What’s wrong with you? Do you actually think that your overall struggles are because you don’t work hard enough? Do you think ‘working hard’, nose-to-the-grindstone is going to get you anything that will assure your safety in the future? For most people, it won’t. How many of you have more than a few hundred bucks in savings? How many of you have a serious backup plan? How many of you are secure in your jobs, your homes, your lives?

This is not how it is supposed to be.

Dude making $20 an hour looks down on the dude making $10 an hour ‘cause the dude making $2000 an hour said lower paid workers who need public assistance are lazy. They drive cars that cost more than 5 years of your salary. They wear clothes that cost more than your year’s rent. They live in homes that cost more than your entire family’s financial legacy.

No, this isn’t life. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.

No, this isn't how it is supposed to be. Evolving as a society is meant to bring us to where we don't need to struggle like this. But I understand the people that say that it's just how it is. It's almost like a assurance to themselves to keep going because we still live like this. There are still people that legitimately think hard work equals success and those people are objectively wrong. I don't know about you, but I can't wait for this shit to be over.
