Character Development

I have been having the intense urge to write a character that is long abandoned. I want so desperately to delve back into his mind and caress the world with his light. The only issue is that I have to completely rework him- his story-lining is fucked due to him becoming a shadow in the background of my world build. 

Yet he calls to me, beckoning me to the rocky shores with his enticing song; I do not know how much longer I can resist the siren's call...
