Finally finished lolita

Today after practically a  year i've finished the book 'Lolita' it was pretty difficult to read, and took me time to get really into the story as it's narrative being told from the pov of Hmbert ( the adult who abuses her during years as he really thinks there's nothing wrong with it) It's nor comfortable to read about a disgusting pervert's fantasies about a 10 yo child, i felt really uncomfortable while reading some parts of the book; but that's also the purpose of it i guess. Anyway i've loved how in the book looks really really clear how Dolores is going through hell; while in the first adaptation of the book to a movie in 1962, directed and produced by p3d.. the producer literally abused the main actress who played dolores, who was only 12 or 13 yo, seeing how this story could get into the wrong hands, leading to the usage of the book to satisfy their own sick fantasies. In the film adaptation I'm referring to , the version seems much more 'romanticized' if you could even call it that way... It's noticeable how the movie was directed for a certain public... as in an old man with horrible tendencies. Still, I liked how the book was narrated. The style is really nice, and also calms me to know the author wrote this with the purpose of reporting this kind of inhuman behaviour, not in a malicious way. He was completely against the use of pictures, drawings or elements that have anything to do with kids, as he didn't want it to be interpreted as any way different to its meaning, but publishers sued whatever they wanted , not respecting his wishes and promoting dangerous behaviour with the normalization of this kind of image. It's horrible how people try to focus it as if the child was the seducing a grown ass man, i hate that armynet, its so weird to think such way about a child who doesn't have any concept of consent in that kind of area, as they should because it's not the time to be doing those things , even less with an adult , who's supposed  to set healthy boundaries. It is ridiculous to think someone would even believe that justification ,and if you really do , then you need someone to check up on you...

I'm not even gonna get into the weird dynamic that they had being 'father' and 'daughter' cause that's extremely deep and f up that i would have to even write a whole book about it to include everything...

Overall a good book that made me think and suffer for someone we barely comprehend, as we never get an inside of her mind , what's going inside of her , only what the narrator tells us, and we know that information is not reliable... it's so sad to think we never really knew what was going on on Dolores Haze's head and how she lived all of this.
