(For anyone who only knows me on SpaceHey, I moved my writings on my Discord to here)
Love, and by proxy authenticity, requires faith and virtue. If one has no faith that God is forgiving or that you can improve yourself through your actions, you will get nothing done and thus never express who you really are, even if you excel in all other aspects. The angst of the void is paralyzing, and if all you can do is stare at it, it will stare back at you. The only solution is absolute trust in God and to take a leap of faith.
Virtue is also necessary, but faith precedes it as there could be teleological suspension of ethics, like the case of Ibrahim aleyhiselam "sacrificing" Ismail aleyhiselam. The only sacrifice here was pride in knowledge. But back on topic, some needed virtues are wisdom, justice, temperance, patience, and honesty.
All of the aforementioned virtues are connected. You need to be wise to not go against natural law. Natural law is just with its cause and effect, and it is also temperate as it does not waste in excess. Be patient and honest with others and to yourself to increase harmony. It is necessary to remember however that no virtues can be executed without faith.
