i think were all categorizing each other, and ourselves in some way. in popular platforms; we brand identity, we label aesthetics, we purchase products that seem to embody an archetype we want to achieve, we create microlabels that seem to only ever be a reference for what we want to be rather than describing the state of being. like for example; i notice individuals who identify as women seem to gravitate towards affirming products, or posts about their identity, or atleast something to manifest that identity which isnt ofcourse inheretly negative but when combined with how content seems to center around the viewer; it must be personalised but how could content creators create content for an audience that has different tastes? well, ofcourse, they could promote ideas to audiences to influence their outlook on their identity. im sure that some content creators do not mean to do such thing but due to the promotion, and high consumption of archetypes such as "manic pixie girl", "just a girl", "crazy emo", or tangible material that seem to present abstract concepts like "valentine baskets to give your girl to show that you love her", and while these content ideas seem to be ofcourse, again, not inheretly harmful, they may lead to a massive group of individuals forcing their identity to become an archetype, surrounding themselves with only content that affirms that archetype, so on, so forth.
i am currently very tired as of writing this, so there may be grammatical mistakes. sorry for those blunders. i will also be writing another ramble. please ask if this post confuses you, or point out anything that may seem offensive.
