dear diary,
or should i say dear spacehey?
i am writing this diary entry on the 17th because i didn't do it last night! it's kind of nice doing this first thing in the morning.
yesterday i:
- woke up around 8
- killed a bunch of time doing menial tasks and staying out of my room for my family
- played some guitar, nothing new
- dad gave me my first driver's lesson except my right foot is still fractured so it was really difficult and he didn't make it much easier. he kept getting mad at me for being bad at something i was totally new at. worse for him honestly, his anger was not mine.
- 3 p.m. tutored someone online for chemistry
- 4 p.m. went thrifting with a friend and got a few dresses.
- 6 p.m. we ate pizza together at a restaraunt and watched the daytona 500.
he's super into NASCAR so i was getting into it too. there's something amusingly bizarre about a sport where company-sponsored vehicles designed to go 120 mph drive in an oval 500 times with drivers who face the nastiest imaginable accidents. some strange american mystique there... and it's interesting seeing how the accidents happen in the slowed down replays. nothing like watching a random insurance company entirely fuck over three other cars (one of which is an orange juice company) by bumping them just slightly too hard. - 7 p.m. i got home and spent a lot of time doing a photoshoot with my new clothes and stuff. it was fun but at the end i was looking for a certain hat for an hour and couldn't find it.
i hate losing shit. i spend hours running over the same ground hoping to find it hidden in plain sight when in reality it could be at school or at someone's house, just left somewhere because my past self was too negligent to put it in my bag. i have a bad habit of not putting things in the same place.
also my dad tried to check in on me but i had my door locked because i'd like to avoid my parents seeing me in girl's clothing. but i felt super bad for keeping my parents out of my life like that, they were probably just trying to check in and felt like i was rejecting my part in the family... not entirely untrue. - 10 p.m. i called an online friend (former irl friend) and posted the photoshoot results on spacehey and insta. he was just playing roblox and elden ring as i did my stuff
- finished yesterday's stats homework and did one o-chem IR/NMR analysis problem. i then got stuck on problem #2 for like 45 minutes.
- played roblox with him till about 4 a.m.
overall, not the worst day. i totally forgot about a ton of things that were due that night but it's whatever, i was having fun that day and i was actually consistently doing things rather than rotting. i think my problem is moreso when i have free time and misuse it, as opposed to just having a lot of plans and fleeting passions to work with during the day.
i also haven't stayed up that late in a really long time, so when i woke up at 10 today, it was actually quite refreshing. i'm don't really get how that works. i am sure, however, that i will be crashing later today.
for now i plan on working through some chemistry homework. busywork, i guess. the implications of me sitting down to actually do homework for a long period of time is super positive. i also have some obligations for later today, but until then, i want to make today a decent day for myself. right now, decent = productive.

you calling them by their sponsers just opened my eyes to what non-nascar fans prob see the sport as, like holy shit i love that. totally calling stenhouse "orange juice guy" instead of spinhouse now <33
