Lack of culture

While scrolling thought the internet, especially on TikTok, you can run into the statement that "white people don't have a culture" and I must disagree. I believe that every country has it's own culture, but because of current globalization it's getting harder to experience and appreciate it. So I want to rant about it.

I am from Silesia - a southern part of Poland. We have our own language/dialect (I don't know English word for "gwara" sorry), celebrations and some of our traditions are different from the rest of the country. I lived here almost my whole life yet I practically can't speak Silesian - and that's on purpose. My parents where scared that I'd get bullied even if I had even as slight accent. Insane! God forbid that you speak gwarą in the heart of the region! And the worst part is that yes - I'd probably be bullied.

USA because of it's size and importance, has an effect on different countries as well - we can't deny that. And while I think it's great that we have a language that a lot of people from all across the globe can understand, I feel like at the same time it "ruins" other languages. For example - we don't have Polish word for "weekend". Same for "hater", "cringe" and bunch of new words that start being used. You obviously can use synonyms and I guess it's normal part of language's life, but I can't help but feel like its being watered down.

And quite a trivial thing I have an issue with - who brings presents to kids during Christmas. Believing all the movies and cartoons, in USA it's Santa Clause. We don't one guy who does it in Poland. For Silesians it's Baby Jesus, it other part it's a little Angel or Ded Moroz. But marketers still use the image of Santa Clause, while it doesn't make any sense! Santa Clause already visits Polish kids - on 6th of December, during "Mikołajki". Don't make an old guy work twice as much as he does already just because majority of world does it!

Do I have a solution to this problem? No. Is it even a problem in the first place? I understand why some people might not see it as one, but to me kind of yes. Controversial, but I think it's good when different people come from different backgrounds, instead of all of us being one, identical mass.
